Funds raised through this event will be used to bring happiness and hope to the underprivileged children of Goa in the care of El Shaddai Charitable Trust.

Run for Hope, Homes, and Happiness

Marathon is an annual event organized to raise awareness, provide homes and hope for underprivileged children. This marathon will serve runners of all skill levels; from first time marathoners to veteran runners and walkers. Funds raised through this event will be used to bring happiness and hope to the underprivileged children of Goa in the care of El Shaddai Charitable Trust.

El Shaddai Charitable Trust is a registered, non-profit Charity working in Goa and other States of India, implementing the Child Rights Act 2003/05 for orphans, street children and children coming from economically and socially marginalised conditions. The children are cared for and provided with food, clothing, shelter and education for a brighter future. El Shaddai runs residential Homes, Day Care Centres and Community Centres.

When is the next Goa Marathon?

The next Goa Marathon is on Sunday, 31 January 2027, with a 42 KM Full Marathon, 21 KM Half Marathon, 10K Run and 5K Dream Run. Revised Bib Expo dates, race start times and the race venue will be announced by the organisers.

What is the Goa Marathon event?

The Goa Marathon is one of the biggest events in Goa, never to miss. The event is not only a platform to test an individual’s athletic excellence but also to spread awareness about healthy living among the locals and school children. It is a unique fund-raising event for the charity, El Shaddai Charitable Trust. In the last Thirteen years, Goa Marathon has assumed a stature of eminence, being the largest philanthropic sporting event in Goa.

What is the Dream Run costume segment?

The 5 KM Dream Run welcomes creative or themed costumes. The participant with the most outstanding and entertaining costume will receive a special award.

What do I collect during the Bib Expo?

Collect your running bib and timing chip. An official T-shirt is included for the 42 KM, 21 KM and 10 KM categories. Dream Run participants may purchase a T-shirt for ₹500 at registration.

What do I need to carry during the Bib Expo?

Bring your acknowledgement slip or a printout of your email or website confirmation. Representatives need the original acceptance letter, signed authorisation and a copy of the participant’s photo ID. See the collection checklist.

How is this event connected with charity?

Funds raised support children in the care of El Shaddai Charitable Trust.

Why am I being charged, even when I run for a charity?

Registration helps cover the logistics of staging a safe, memorable marathon.

Will I get tax exemptions?

Please contact the organisers for the latest information on donations and tax exemptions.

What happens on Bib expo?

Collect your race bib and runner kit, and receive all event-day information.

Why should I run for a cause?

Every step helps create homes, hope and happiness for children in Goa.

Can corporate teams participate?

Yes. Corporate teams are welcome to register and run together.

What are the age requirements?

Contact the event office to confirm age eligibility for your category before applying. Applicants under 18 must also have their guardian sign the disclaimer and state their relationship to the applicant.

What are the race categories?

Full Marathon (42 KM), Half Marathon (21 KM), 10K Run (10 KM) and Dream Run (5 KM).

What is the registration fee?

Full Marathon: ₹2,350; Half Marathon: ₹1,850; 10K Run: ₹1,350; 5K Dream Run: ₹600. Read the entry and refund conditions before applying.

How do I register?

Pre-printed application forms are available at the event office in Mapusa. For online registration guidance and entry enquiries, contact the Goa Marathon team.

What are the payment options?

Payment instructions are provided by the event office. Contact the team before making a payment.

When do applications close?

The last date for receipt of application forms at the event office or online is 30 January 2027.

What are the refund conditions?

Report fee discrepancies to the Event Registration Team immediately. Refund queries will not be entertained after 15 January 2027. If an entry is not confirmed for any reason, ₹500 will be deducted as processing charges. See the full entry conditions.

Where is the Race assembly point?

The 2027 assembly point and reporting times will be announced on the race information page.

What time should participants report on the race day?

Please arrive before your category’s scheduled start time.

Are there any water and energy drink facilities?

Water and support stations will be available on the course.

Awards & Prizes – If I win an award, can I pick it up on race day?

Event staff will guide winners through prize collection on race day.

How do I get Finisher’s Certificate?

Certificate details will be shared by the organisers after the event.

Do we get Finisher’s medals?

Eligible finishers receive their event medal at the finish area.
